शुरुआत में मेडिकल की छात्रा होने के नाते अंजलि तेंदुलकर को शुरू में क्रिकेट के क्षेत्र में ज्यादा दिलचस्पी नहीं थी और उन्हें पता भी नहीं था कि सचिन एक क्रिकेटर हैं. हालांकि बाद में अंजलि ने क्रिकेट में दिलचस्पी लेनी शुरू कर दी। वहीं सचिन ने बहुत ही कम उम्र में अपनी अद्भुत क्रिकेट खेलने की प्रतिभा से एक अलग पहचान बनाई।
